The 24 Solar Terms are an ancient East Asian calendar based on the movement of the sun, dividing the year into 24 subtle transitions in climate and nature. Beyond marking time, they have long shaped the rhythms of food, agriculture and everyday life.
In this special Autumn Equinox (秋分) session, FORMOSA brew invites you to explore this seasonal philosophy through Taiwanese tea.
As summer gives way to autumn and day and night return briefly to balance, we will taste a selection of Taiwanese teas chosen to reflect the character of the season. Through guided tasting and storytelling, you will discover how terroir, oxidation, roasting and brewing temperature shape each tea—and how seasonal thinking can inspire the way we experience tea today.
Tea Meets Gastronomy
The experience concludes with a curated seasonal gastronomic pairing, exploring how carefully brewed Taiwanese tea can reveal and amplify the hidden flavours of autumn ingredients.
Rather than treating tea simply as an accompaniment, we look at aroma, texture, temperature and flavour as part of one complete tasting experience.
